#2813 INCREASED RISK OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE PRECEDING DIAGNOSIS OF INCIDENT ANCA-ASSOCIATED VASCULITIS: A DANISH NATIONWIDE STUDY

چکیده

Abstract Background and Aims ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). The CVD seems to be shortly after initial diagnosis as well in the long-term setting. However, no studies have addressed period preceding AAV diagnosis. Since often a substantial diagnostic delay, we hypothesize that patients consistently are at developing already before they even diagnosed AAV. Method Using nested case-control framework, were identified through Danish Nationwide Registries from 1996-2021 matched 1:3 age- sex-matched controls without Each control was assigned same index date (date AAV-diagnosis) their corresponding case. Conditional logistic regression used compute age, sex comorbidity adjusted Hazard Ratios (HRs) for major adverse events (MACE), ischemic heart disease, failure, venous thromboembolism, atrial fibrillation, stroke, pericarditis, ventricular arrhythmias/ICD-implantation/cardiac arrest (VA/ICD/CA) within 12 months, 6 3 2 months 1 month date. Results A total 2371 (median age: 63 yrs, 53.7% male) 7113 controls. In AAV, 10.33% had outcome compared 3.84% (HR 3.05 [95% CI, 2.48-3.75]). outcomes similarly temporal proximity diagnosis, highest HR prior 10.73 7.05-16.32], Fig. 1). individual analysis, significantly higher observed all (excluding VA/ICD/CA), 2. Conclusion which underlines importance early clinical vigilance toward starting phase

Clinical characteristics and outcomes of childhood-onset ANCA-associated vasculitis: a French nationwide study.

BACKGROUND Data on anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis are scarce in children. The current study is aimed at describing the clinical features and outcomes of childhood-onset ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV). METHODS We conducted a retrospective French multicentre study involving patients in whom AAV was diagnosed before the age of 18 years. Inclusion criteria wer...

Interstitial Lung Disease with ANCA-associated Vasculitis

The association between interstitial lung disease (ILD) and anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV), particularly microscopic polyangiitis (MPA), has been described in a number of case reports and case series reports in the last 2 decades. In addition, patients with pulmonary fibrosis and ANCA positivity but without other manifestations of systemic vasculitis hav...

Disease Activity in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Is Associated with Increased Risk of Myocardial Infarction, Stroke and Cardiovascular Death – A Danish Nationwide Cohort Study

PURPOSE Chronic inflammatory diseases have been linked to increased risk of atherothrombotic events, but the risk associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is unclear. We therefore examined the risk of myocardial infarction (MI), stroke, and cardiovascular death in patients with IBD. METHODS In a nationwide Danish population-based setting, a cohort of patients with incident IBD between...

Inflammatory bowel disease is associated with an increased risk of hospitalization for heart failure: a Danish Nationwide Cohort study.

BACKGROUND Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has been linked to adverse cardiovascular events, but a relation to heart failure (HF) is uncertain. We investigated the IBD-associated risk of HF in a nationwide setting. METHODS AND RESULTS A total of 5 436 647 Danish citizens, with no history of IBD or HF, were included on January 1, 1997, and followed up until first hospitalization for HF, death...
